Reconnect in Greece: A Yoga Retreat with Diane Lee

This September, you’re invited to step away from the noise of daily life and experience a transformative week of yoga, community, and sunshine on the serene island of Lesvos, Greece.

Led by AFYT founder and Course Director Diane Lee, this immersive retreat is hosted in partnership with Mark Warner at the idyllic Aeolian Village Beach Resort. With over 25 years of experience, Diane is known for her grounded, accessible approach to yoga; integrating mindful movement, deep self-reflection, and connection to nature.

Why Choose a Yoga Retreat in Greece?

This is more than just a holiday. A yoga retreat in Greece is a gift of space - space to breathe, to stretch, to reflect.

Picture morning yoga as the sun rises over the Aegean, evenings spent meditating on the beach, and afternoons free to explore olive groves, ancient ruins, and vibrant seaside villages.

You’ll enjoy nourishing local cuisine, swim in crystal-clear waters, and come home feeling rested, rebalanced and reconnected.

Daily Yoga with Diane Lee

Over the course of the week, you’ll enjoy 12 yoga classes designed to support all levels of experience—from curious beginners to seasoned practitioners.

  • Sunrise class at 7:45am: Start your day with gentle movement, breathwork, and intention-setting

  • Sunset class at 6:00pm: Unwind with mindful stretching, grounding postures, and meditation

Each class is 60–75 minutes long, allowing plenty of time in between to relax, explore or rest. Under Diane’s expert guidance, beginners will be supported through foundational poses, alignment and breathing techniques. More experienced yogis will be invited to deepen their practice and explore new dimensions of self-awareness.

A Stunning Setting with Ancient Roots

Set against the backdrop of the Aegean Sea, the Aeolian Village Beach Resort is the perfect place to unwind.

Greece has long been associated with spiritual practices, such as henosis, meaning unity; a principle deeply aligned with the philosophy of yoga.

While the world has changed since the time of the ancient Greeks, the calm of the Aegean landscape remains.

From your yoga mat on the sand, you'll feel that timeless sense of peace that comes from being immersed in nature.

Connect with Like-Minded Souls

Our yoga weeks are as much about connection as they are about solitude. Whether you're travelling solo, with a friend or partner, you'll be welcomed into a supportive, warm-hearted community. There’s time to share meals, swap stories, and form meaningful new friendships; alongside moments of quiet reflection just for you.

A Week of Inner and Outer Nourishment

Yoga is more than a sequence of movements… it’s a way of living.

Diane’s teaching weaves together posture, philosophy, self-inquiry, and holistic wellbeing.

Throughout the retreat, she’ll share insights on yoga for the mind and soul, touching on themes like kindness, presence, nutrition and personal growth.

Whether you’re seeking physical renewal, emotional clarity or spiritual space, this retreat offers a deeply nourishing container for your journey.

Enjoy World-Class Facilities

While the yoga is at the heart of your week, you’ll also have access to all the exceptional facilities at Aeolian Village Beach Resort, including:

  • 25m swimming pool and aqua fitness classes

  • Watersports: sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, SUP with free tuition

  • Fitness classes: HIIT, stretch sessions, cardio workouts

  • Cycling tours (mountain and road)

  • Social tennis and padel

  • On-site spa with facials, massages and holistic treatments

Explore the Magic of Lesvos

Just a short walk from the resort is Skala Eresou, a vibrant fishing village with a relaxed, bohemian atmosphere.

Known as the birthplace of ancient poet Sappho, it has long been a welcoming place for the LGBTQ+ community, creatives and travellers seeking authentic Greek charm.

Is This Yoga Retreat in Greece Right for Me?

Absolutely. The yoga retreat is open to all levels.

You don’t need to be an advanced yogi—just willing to move, breathe and be open to the experience.

Classes are designed to meet you where you are and support your own personal pace.

Can I Come on My Own?

Yes! Many people join our retreats solo.

You’ll be welcomed into a friendly, inclusive group with the freedom to participate as much - or as little - as you like.
